Sliding mode control approach for H2 purity regulation in high-pressure alkaline electrolyzers

This paper presents the design of a Sliding Mode Control (SMC) for H2 purity regulation in high pressure alkaline electrolyzers. The control scheme is based on mixing the concepts of sliding-mode control with a PID sliding surface and Bristol matrix design. A 25-state dynamic model of the high-press...

Description
Summary:This paper presents the design of a Sliding Mode Control (SMC) for H2 purity regulation in high pressure alkaline electrolyzers. The control scheme is based on mixing the concepts of sliding-mode control with a PID sliding surface and Bristol matrix design. A 25-state dynamic model of the high-pressure alkaline electrolyzer is considered from the literature. The results show that the proposed control scheme design is simple, and the results obtained motivate more studies to be used in more realistic applications.
