Drawing on a triangulation of qualitative data from primary and secondary sources, we explore the ways in which the expansion of the agribusiness model reconfigure materially, discursively and symbolically the hydrosocial rurality of theses oases. We analyze these transformations within the framework of a territorial eco-synthesis, arguing that the territoriality of the Agribusiness Model acts in a confined, zonal and networked manner. |

Los márgenes de los oasis de la provincia de Mendoza adquirieron estas últimas décadas especial relevancia como focos de inversiones del Modelo de Agronegocios. Éste se destacó como el protagonista de una verdadera conquista en zonas periféricas de los oasis, expandiendo la frontera agrícola en base la adquisición de terrenos seleccionados por sus características edáficas, la explotación de aguas subterráneas y la aplicación de modernos sistemas de riego. Protagonizada por la llamada nueva vitivinicultura -caracterizada por la producción de vinos de alta calidad enológica y orientada al mercado internacional- esta dinámica se evidenció también en otros sectores frutícolas u hortícolas. En base a una triangulación de datos cualitativos provenientes de fuentes primarias y secundarias indagamos las formas mediantes las cuales la expansión del Modelo de agronegocios incide material, discursiva y simbólicamente en la reconfiguración de la ruralidad en la provincia. Analizamos estas transformaciones en el marco de una eco-sintesis territorial, argumentando que la territorialidad del Modelo de Agronegocios actúa de manera confinada, zonal y en red. As margens dos oásis na província de Mendoza adquiriram especial relevância nas últimas décadas como centros de investimento do Modelo Agronegócio. Esse modelo foi destacado como o protagonista de uma verdadeira conquista em áreas periféricas dos oásis, ampliando a fronteira agrícola a partir da aquisição de terras selecionadas por suas características de solo, da exploração de águas subterrâneas e da aplicação de modernos sistemas de irrigação. Protagonizada pela chamada nova vitivinicultura -caracterizada pela produção de vinhos de alta qualidade enológica e orientada para o mercado internacional- esta dinâmica também foi evidenciada em outros setores de frutas e vegetais. Com base em uma triangulação de dados qualitativos de fontes primárias e secundárias, investigamos as formas pelas quais a expansão do modelo do agronegócio tem um impacto material, discursivo e simbólico sobre a reconfiguração da ruralidade na província.
