Descripción
Sumario:Testimony is a device through which individuals are led to give meaning, value and veracity to their conduct, their speech, and the relationship they have with each other. Our object of analysis is the testimonies of people diagnosed as having depression published in the newspapers Folha de S.Paulo and O Globo between 1990 and 2005. The objective is to understand how has this practice produced a truth of the subject so that the subject himself can deliver a truthful speech. The testimonies contributed to the formation of a subject who takes his affective matter as an element of veridiction and enunciation. This suggests that they already signal changes in the ways in which subjects are called to tell the truth, thus constituting part of the phenomenon that we see covering the social networks today.
