| Summary: | This paper presents a classification model for the vulnerability of dams based on a MulticriteriaDecision Support Methodology - MCDA (Multicriteria Decision Aid) which is characterized by adopting aconstructivist approach. The tool chosen to implement this MCDA-C was MACBETH because it is amethodology that makes it possible to explain how the weights used in this type of classification are assigned,through a formal, theoretically robust model. The construction of the model followed the phases of theMACBETH methodology and was based on the classification system by category of risk and potentialassociated damage, established by Resolution CNRH No. 143. Finally, the model developed is applied on theevaluation of a set of 15 earth dams, and both a Dam Vulnerability Index (IVB) and a DownstreamVulnerability Index (IVJB) are proposed using the software M-MACBETH. |
